The Student Ambassador Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the Student Ambassador Program, which is a lead initiative under the University’s Domestic Student Recruitment Strategy. This role will recruit and supervise a team of casual student ambassadors who work to deliver a range of student recruitment and engagement activities, including within high schools and TAFE to help meet domestic student recruitment performance targets.
The position will oversee all aspects of the student ambassador program from talent search and recruitment; to training and development programs; to day-to-day supervision including rostering, leadership and mentoring.
Along with your strong organisational ability you will inspire us with your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
This continuing position is full time at a HEW 6 Higher Education Level and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

About the Unit
This role sits within the Marketing and Communications Team who leads domestic student recruitment and marketing strategies as well as international recruitment marketing. They drive engagement and storytelling to build the University’s brand and manage its reputation, as well as helping to nurture a sense of pride amongst the University’s community.
Working in partnership with Colleges and Divisions, M&C participates in key decision making and priority setting related to program development, domestic and international student recruitment, high school outreach, and campaign development.

- Demonstrated leadership capability including the ability to coach and inspire a team of casual student ambassadors to work in a professional capacity to deliver exceptional performance outcomes.
- Knowledge of, and experience in adhering to workplace policies and procedures in the areas of work health safety, equity, diversity and promoting a respectful workplace culture.
